OCF supports more than 1,600 organizations around the state each
year through its grant programs. These grants are awarded by hundreds
of different OCF funds. These funds have been established with
a unique purpose determined by the donor. Many funds are restricted
to particular areas of community need or particular organizations
of interest to the donor. Donors also have established discretionary
funds, which are applied by the foundation's board of directors
through a competitive Community Grant process.
Principles Guiding OCF Grantmaking
• To build an inclusive spirit of community encompassing
all of Oregon's populations
• To give priority to investments that resolve problems at
their source
• To bring private citizens together to address their needs
and aspirations
Discrimination Policy
OCF does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion,
sexual orientation, physical circumstances or national origin. Grant
applicants must hold similar standards. Community Grant applications
from organizations known to have discriminatory policies will not
be considered.
